ResiLoop Director, Dan Lovell (Karndean Designflooring AU NZ), chaired the inaugural ResiLoop AGM, which included some brilliant questions and lively discussions. Great to see this level of engagement and helpful input from Members! Dan took a moment to reflect that it was less than 3 years ago that the idea for ResiLoop first emerged at an Australian Resilient Flooring Association Inc meeting. Since then, ResiLoop has accomplished a lot, evolving into a stand-alone entity with 16 leading suppliers from the resilient flooring industry as members and a growing number of Associate Members.
ResiLoop has recycled over 50 tonnes of material, including 15T waste recovered since officially launching on 1st September this year. The focus, however, remains on the future growth of the scheme - its contribution to the 2030 National Waste Policy Action Plan targets and its determination to drive a circular mindset in the floorcovering industry. With a carefully coordinated expansion of Collection Points underway and Think Manufacturing as our first recycling partner, ResiLoop has a solid foundation and a target going forward of 30T a month. Members recognise that R&D is critical to enabling us to recover and recycle increasing volumes of resilient flooring — achievable only through working together. Many thanks to our member representatives who joined the meeting and we extend our gratitude to Shaw Contract for hosting this milestone event.
