Think Manufacturing

ResiLoop currently supplies Think Manufacturing, our recycling partner, with recovered materials for manufacturing into new Australian made products. The Victorian based company is committed to excellence in recycling through innovative solutions. They developed and produce a unique garden edging product made from vinyl flooring offcuts and recycled plastic, playing an essential role in advancing our mission to repurpose valuable materials that might otherwise end up in landfills.

Circular Support Fund investing in innovative technologies and product concepts

Investing in Research and Development (R&D) is a core strategic pillar of ResiLoop with a proportion of funds raised by the product levy set aside each year into our Circular Support Fund.

ResiLoop, in conjunction with its Board and Advisory Panel, has developed its R&D strategy to prioritise the growth of scalable, commercially viable end-market uses for recycled resilient flooring materials. These activities aim to enhance the application of resilient flooring materials, preferably into durable construction and flooring-related uses so as to retain the resources in long-term productive use at the highest possible value. Solutions across a wider geographic coverage will be sought.

The R&D strategy is also designed to expand product inclusion by resolving challenges in separating materials and addressing contamination issues to reprocess other products like safety flooring, hybrid tiles, rubber and linoleum flooring. We will explore sorting and processing technologies that can address composite product structures and additional material types to broaden the types of products that can be recycled. We will encourage development and investment in recycling infrastructure – large and small - in all States and Territories to enable geographic expansion of collections and improve reverse logistic efficiencies.
