Specify Products That Drive Change

The architectural and design community plays a pivotal role in reducing landfill waste and embedding circular economy principles into the built environment. ResiLoop offers a practical way to deliver on these ambitions — by connecting design decisions made at the specification stage with real-world recovery and recycling outcomes.

Specifying in-scope products from ResiLoop Members enables design professionals to directly contribute to an industry-wide initiative to reduce resilient flooring waste. These product selections carry a small levy, which funds:
  • The expansion of vinyl and LVT waste collection and recycling services across Australia
  • Research and development into local recycling solutions and end markets

“This is a straightforward system that turns waste into resources and develops recycling options, but it requires some change in approach by the industry.” Sophi MacMillan, CEO, ResiLoop

Know What and Who to Specify

ResiLoop has leading flooring suppliers participating in the scheme, with a wide range of eligible vinyl and LVT products that can be specified for projects. Alongside this, a growing network of ResiLoop-registered flooring contractors are available to collect offcut waste from both commercial and residential installations.

Our Membership Guiding Principles require our members to demonstrate best-practice manufacturing standards. This includes responsible sourcing of materials, sustainable PVC resin manufacture, and the safe use of additives — all aligned with the environmental expectations of forward-thinking design professionals.

To make it easy for specifiers:
  • We maintain a register of eligible product brands (Members)
  • We list registered Collection Points (Material Collections) and Supporters across the country
This ensures you can confirm you're working with suppliers and contractors committed to circular outcomes so you can specify for recover, not landfill.

Tailor Your Project Documentation

  • In Victoria, registered Collection Points (Material Collections) pick up installation offcuts and direct them to our recycling partners.
  • In other states, specifiers can nominate ResiLoop Supporters — contractors actively backing R&D and future expansion of collection services.
For large-scale projects, ResiLoop can work directly with you to manage the collection process and provide waste tracking data. This is valuable for:
  • Demonstrating environmental performance to clients
  • Supporting award submissions that recognise sustainability initiatives
If you have large project coming up and you'd like to register your interest to explore potential collection opportunities please talk to us about creating a Project Partnership. We can coordinate collections from your site and report data. Collective Action, Real Impact

Achieving ResiLoop’s vision depends on early project decisions and collaboration across the project lifecycle — from specification to installation. It’s vital to work collectively with those involved in specifying, procuring and managing flooring projects — before materials are lost to landfill.

By specifying ResiLoop-aligned products and contractors, you can lead your projects — and the industry — toward a more sustainable future.
