ResiLoop is Australia’s industry-led initiative designed to move resilient flooring towards a circular future. By focusing on waste avoidance and capturing installation offcuts before they become a disposal issue, ResiLoop helps the sector keep valuable materials in use for longer.
As a registered charity backed by major resilient-flooring suppliers, ResiLoop provides a practical pathway for the flooring industry to reduce waste, strengthen circular practices and build confidence in local recycling. Initiated by the Australian Resilient Flooring Association (ARFA) in 2021 and operating independently since 2024, ResiLoop works with manufacturers, contractors, retailers and recyclers to avoid, recover and redirect flooring waste for local reprocessing. Through ongoing R&D and collaboration across the supply chain, ResiLoop is expanding collection points, supporting new recycled-material applications and improving the infrastructure needed to shift the industry up the waste hierarchy. These efforts reduce landfill volumes and accelerate circularity in the resilient-flooring sector. ResiLoop is authorised by the ACCC until 2030. |

ResiLoop is committed to working collaboratively with industry stakeholders to refine and expand recycling pathways for resilient flooring waste. By continuously assessing material recovery options and fostering partnerships with suppliers, retailers, recyclers, and installers, the scheme seeks to drive long-term sustainability in the sector. As collection volumes grow, ResiLoop will explore additional recycling solutions to further reduce reliance on virgin materials and enhance resource efficiency, reinforcing the industry's shift toward a more circular approach.
ResiLoop is built on simple and effective solutions that make participation easy for flooring suppliers, installers, and recyclers. The scheme is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing industry processes, creating accessible and efficient solutions. At its core, ResiLoop focuses on creating solutions with a strong business case, delivering tangible value to stakeholders while driving sustainability outcomes. ResiLoop aims to make recycling resilient flooring waste both practical and economically beneficial for the industry. Find out how this is working for our Members here: A Role for Suppliers. |
